Therapy & Psychological Testing

The licensed clinicians at Huntington Behavioral Health in Huntington, West Virginia, are here to assist you in developing and implementing a plan to deal with your mental/behavioral health issues. The office policy is for the patient to be seen by a therapist for the initial assessment and then be referred to the physician or nurse practitioner if medication is needed. We believe that most patients benefit from a combination of therapy and medication management.

Therapy & Counseling

When you meet with a psychologist or licensed professional counselor for the assessment, a diagnostic impression will be made followed by a treatment plan to include continued meetings with the psychologist or counselor to help you deal with your daily activity. The therapist may also recommend seeing the psychiatrist or nurse practitioner for medication. The therapists use conventional forms of therapy. Below are some of the areas for which patients see a psychologist or LPC.
